The Museum incorporated a work by Georges Braque into its collection

“Un assis à la corbeille de pommes” was donated to the Museum by Alberto Churba.

The Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes incorporated into its heritage a valuable painting by the French artist George Braque, one of the creators of Cubism, thanks to the generous donation of the Argentine architect, designer and artist Alberto Churba. It is the work “Nu assis à la corbeille de pommes”, dated in 1925, an oil on panel of 92 x 73 cm, which belonged to the private collection of Churba. The piece integrates a series of oil paintings and large drawings of nudes.
